Biography

Thomas DaCosta Kaufmann is a leading art historian specializing in European art and architecture from 1500-1800 in its global context, the theory and practice of world art history, and the intersections of art, science, and humanism. He formerly served as chair of the Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton.
