Biography

Subramanian authored "How to Feel: The Science and Meaning of Touch," exploring scientific, physical, emotional, and cultural dimensions of touch to reconnect readers with arguably our most important sense. Her journalism focuses on scientific research affecting daily life experiences, published in outlets including The Atlantic, The New York Times, Scientific American, Discover, and Elle. She teaches journalism at the University of Mary Washington in Virginia.
