Susan Wolfson

Wolfson has taught at UC Berkeley and Rutgers University before joining Princeton. She specializes in British Romanticism literature, examining "enlightenment" quests for knowledge and philosophies of social freedom. Her teaching covers Shakespeare, Milton's Paradise Lost, nineteenth-century literature, and Modernism. She developed the Harvard Annotated Edition of Frankenstein (2012) with Ronald Levao and edited the annotated Northanger Abbey (2014). Recent publications include Reading John Keats (Cambridge UP 2015) and Romantic Interactions: Social Being and the Turns of Literary Form (Johns Hopkins UP 2010). She co-edits The Romantics and Their Contemporaries anthology (5th ed. 2012) with Peter Manning.
