Susan Engel is a developmental psychologist whose research focuses on the development of curiosity, children's narratives, play, and teaching and learning. She is the author of seven books including 'The Hungry Mind: The Origins of Curiosity in Childhood' and 'The Intellectual Lives of Children,' and is co-founder of an experimental school in New York State.
