Biography

Rhodri Lewis is a literary and intellectual historian who spent 23 years at the University of Oxford before moving to Princeton in 2018. His interests center on the literary, cultural, and intellectual histories of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, with a focus on Shakespeare and early modern thought. His book 'Shakespeare's Tragic Art' (2024) was listed as one of The New Yorker's Best Books of 2024.
