Biography

Rex Jung is a clinical neuropsychologist and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of New Mexico, and a research scientist at the Mind Research Network. His research focuses on the neural basis of human intelligence and creativity, and he has notably helped describe transient hypofrontality, the process by which the brain's frontal lobes quiet down to enable creative thinking. He co-edited The Cambridge Handbook of the Neuroscience of Creativity (2018) and has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers.
