Biography

Joanne Loewy is the founding Director of the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine, which she established in 1994. She is a pioneer in the field of music therapy in medical settings, conducting research on sedation, pain, asthma, and NICU music therapy. She serves as Editor in Chief of the international peer-reviewed journal Music and Medicine.
