James Marcus is an author, editor, and translator who has held senior editorial roles at Harper's Magazine and the Columbia Journalism Review. His essay 'Faint Music' was selected for Best American Essays 2009, and he is the author of 'Amazonia: Five Years at the Epicenter of the Dot-Com Juggernaut,' drawing on his early experience at Amazon.com.
