James Judd

James Judd is a British conductor who came to international attention as Assistant Conductor of the Cleveland Orchestra under Lorin Maazel and was appointed Associate Music Director of the European Community Youth Orchestra by Claudio Abbado. He served as the last full-time Music Director of the Florida Philharmonic (1987-2001) and as the first Music Director of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra (1999-2007), where he now holds the title Music Director Emeritus.
