Biography
French philosopher and art historian whose research spans the visual arts, historiography of art, psychoanalysis, and philosophy. One of Europe's most wide-ranging interdisciplinary thinkers, he has published about thirty works on the history and theory of images from the Renaissance to contemporary art.
