Eric Klinenberg
Biography
Eric Klinenberg is the Helen Gould Shepard Professor of Social Science and Director of the Institute for Public Knowledge at New York University. An urban sociologist, he is the author of Heat Wave: A Social Autopsy of Disaster in Chicago, Going Solo, Palaces for the People, and co-author with Aziz Ansari of the #1 New York Times bestseller Modern Romance. His work examines urban life, social infrastructure, and the role of community in American culture.
