David W. Schwartzman

David W. Schwartzman holds a PhD in Geochemistry from Brown University. He published "Life, Temperature and the Earth" through Columbia University in 1999, updated in paperback in 2002, alongside numerous contributions to "Capitalism Nature Socialism" and other academic journals. His recent works include "The Earth is Not for Sale" (2019), co-authored with his son Peter, and "The Global Solar Commons" (2021). He serves on advisory boards for "Capitalism Nature Socialism" and the editorial board of "Science & Society." His activism includes membership in the DC Statehood Green Party and the Green Party of the United States, where he participates in International and EcoAction Committees.
