David Grinspoon
Biography
David Grinspoon is a Senior Scientist at the Planetary Science Institute and an astrobiologist specializing in comparative planetology and climate evolution on Earth-like planets. He holds a PhD in planetary science from the University of Arizona and served as NASA's inaugural Baruch S. Blumberg Chair in Astrobiology at the Library of Congress. He won the 2006 Carl Sagan Medal for excellence in public communication of planetary science and is the author of Lonely Planets, which won the PEN literary award for nonfiction.
