Biography

Andrea Bayer is a leading art historian specializing in Italian Renaissance art who has been on the staff of The Metropolitan Museum of Art since receiving her Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1990. She has curated major exhibitions including Art and Love in Renaissance Italy and Unfinished: Thoughts Left Visible, and served as coordinating curator for the Curatorial Studies Program run jointly by the Museum and NYU's Institute of Fine Arts.
