Yotam Ophir
Biography
Dr. Ophir holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania (2018) and specializes in "media content and effects in the areas of political, science, and health communication." His research employs "computational methods for text mining, network analysis, experiments and surveys." He has authored or co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed papers published in prominent journals including the American Journal of Public Health, Journal of Communication, and Risk Analysis. He directs the Media Effects, Misinformation, and Extremism (MEME) lab and serves as a distinguished fellow at the Annenberg Public Policy Center.
