Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry
Dr. Tomlinson is a psychoanalyst in private practice and Asst. Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University, where he has taught at the Center for Psychoanalytic Theory and Research for over two decades and directs the Freud curriculum. He designs and teaches courses on Freud and psychoanalysis to graduate and undergraduate students at Columbia's Psychoanalytic Studies Program. His scholarly work focuses on Freud, psychoanalytic history, and eighteenth-century German psychology development. He has also translated German-language works on psychoanalysis, art, and music.
