Biography

Sven Bernecker is a German-born philosopher regarded as a pioneer in the renaissance of philosophical debate on memory and one of the most respected contemporary epistemologists. His research spans epistemology, philosophy of mind, metaphysics, and Kant and German idealism. Before joining UC Irvine, he held positions at the University of Manchester, University of Munich, and the University of Vienna where he held the Chair in Theoretical Philosophy.
