Biography

Susan Seymour is a cultural anthropologist whose research has focused on changing family and gender systems in India through a multi-decade longitudinal study in Bhubaneswar. She served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Pitzer College and as Coordinator of Women's Studies for the Claremont Colleges. Her most recent book is 'Cora Du Bois: Anthropologist, Diplomat, Agent' (2015).
