Biography

Shane Mayak is a biologist and science communicator who co-founded the Ligo Project, a nonprofit fostering scientific research through artistic and creative avenues. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and has worked as a Scientific Communications Editor and Consultant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and as a Scientific Consultant at the New York Genome Center.
