Biography

Paul Linton is a neuroscientist and philosopher specializing in 3D vision whose research challenges fundamental assumptions about how we perceive depth and distance. His Ph.D. research at the Centre for Applied Vision Research, City, University of London demonstrated that the visual system is unable to triangulate distance using the two eyes. He is the author of The Perception and Cognition of Visual Space (Palgrave Macmillan, 2017) and lead editor of the Royal Society volume New Approaches to 3D Vision (2023).
