Paul J. Steinhardt holds the Albert Einstein Professorship at Princeton University and directs the Princeton Center for Theoretical Science. He earned his B.S. in Physics from Caltech, along with M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Harvard University. His scholarly output includes over 200 peer-reviewed articles, five patents, three technical books, and numerous popular articles. He co-authored "Endless Universe: The Big Bang and Beyond" (2007), a book examining contemporary cosmology theories. His research encompasses particle physics, astrophysics, cosmology, and condensed matter physics. Notably, he collaborated with Neil Turok from Cambridge University to develop the "cyclic model," which proposes that the evolution of the universe is periodic and the key events shaping the large scale structure of the universe occur before the big bang.
