Biography

Laura Edelson is a computer scientist who studies the spread of misinformation and disinformation on social media platforms. She received her PhD in Computer Science from New York University and conducted large-scale analyses of online paid political content on Facebook, Google, and Twitter. Her research has powered reporting in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Atlantic.
