Biography

Harvey Seifter is recognized as one of the world's leading authorities on organizational creativity. He founded and directs AOSL, an NSF-funded program integrating arts into STEM education. As Principal Investigator of two NSF grants, he developed the first arts-based STEM innovation curriculum, established innovation incubators nationwide, and conducted research demonstrating causal links between arts-based learning and enhanced creativity, collaboration, and innovation outcomes. At GE's Crotonville, Seifter teaches innovation and helps senior executives improve collaboration, navigate complexity, and drive organizational change. He is a classically trained musician with two decades leading prestigious arts organizations including Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and Circle in the Square Theater on Broadway. Under his leadership, these organizations earned 5 Grammy Awards, 24 Obie and Critics Circle Awards, and a Kennedy Center Award while reaching millions globally. He authored Leadership Ensemble: Lessons in Collaborative Management from the World's Only Conductorless Orchestra and edited special journal issues on arts-based business learning.
