Gil Eyal
Biography
Born in Israel, Gil Eyal immigrated to the United States in 1991 and earned his PhD in sociology from UCLA in 1997. He is a sociologist whose research encompasses science, medicine, professions, intellectuals, and knowledge, particularly as they intersect with political and legal institutions. He serves on the Provost's Advisory Committee on Academic Freedom at Columbia, co-directs the Precision Medicine and Society Program, and directs The Trust Collaboratory at INCITE.
