Biography
Garry L. Hagberg is the James H. Ottaway Professor of Philosophy and Aesthetics at Bard College and has also held a Chair in the School of Philosophy at the University of East Anglia. His research interests include aesthetics, philosophy of the arts, Wittgenstein, and the philosophy of language, with a special focus on improvisation. He is the author of several books including Meaning and Interpretation: Wittgenstein, Henry James, and Literary Knowledge and Describing Ourselves: Wittgenstein and Autobiographical Consciousness.
