Professor of Psychiatry, Pharmacology, and Neuroscience; former Interim Dean
Dr. Francis Lee is a leading physician-scientist whose research focuses on connecting molecular neuroscience with psychiatry through mechanistic studies of how growth and plasticity factors such as BDNF and endocannabinoids contribute to the pathophysiology and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, particularly anxiety disorders. He served as interim dean of Weill Cornell Medicine and interim provost for medical affairs of Cornell University beginning in 2023. He holds professor appointments in psychiatry, pharmacology, and neuroscience.
