Frances Champagne

Frances A. Champagne is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin, known for her research on the epigenetic transmission of maternal behavior. Her work has revealed how natural variations in maternal care can shape offspring behavioral development through epigenetic changes in gene expression. She previously held positions at Columbia University and received the NIH Director's New Innovator Award in 2007 and the Frank A. Beach Young Investigator Award in Behavioral Neuroendocrinology in 2009.
