Assistant Professor of Management
Ernesto Reuben is an Assistant Professor at Columbia Business School whose research focuses on behavioral and public economics. His work examines the role played by social norms and particular psychological traits on activities that are economically relevant for public policy and business strategy. His primary interests include prosocial and antisocial behavior microfoundations, group heterogeneity effects on norm enforcement, and competition's role in team performance. Recent work addresses reciprocity between interest groups and politicians, present-biased preferences and procrastination, and how implicit associations influence expectations and discrimination. He has taught public economics, microeconomics, experimental economics, statistics, and strategy at Princeton University, University of Amsterdam, Norwegian School of Management, and Kellogg School of Management.
