Robles-Anderson holds an Associate Professor position at NYU and received the 2023-24 Leonore Annenberg and Wallis Annenberg Fellowship at Stanford. She serves as editor-in-chief of Public Culture. Her research examines how media technologies create space, particularly configurations that produce public or collective experiences through visibility structures. With training in experimental psychology and cultural history, she employs diverse methodologies to study media-space. Currently, she is authoring a book on 20th-century Protestant worship transformation into mediated "mega-churches" (Yale University Press contract). Previously, she was a Research Fellow in New Media and Architecture at the University of Umea's Department of Culture and Media and Humanities and Technology Laboratory. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication from Stanford University.
