Biography
Christopher W. Clark is a bioacoustics pioneer who founded the Bioacoustics Research Program at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology in 1987 and led it for 30 years. His research focuses on how animals use sounds to communicate, navigate, find food, and maintain social networks, with particular expertise in whale acoustic communication. The program he built is widely recognized as a 'mecca for scientists interested in animal sounds worldwide,' and his methods for passive acoustic monitoring are used by researchers globally.
