Biography

Carol A. Mandel served as Dean of New York University Libraries from 1999 to 2018, overseeing libraries across NYU's New York, Abu Dhabi, and Shanghai campuses, as well as Campus Media Services and NYU Press. Previously, she was Deputy University Librarian at Columbia University. She has served on the boards of the Association of Research Libraries, the Digital Library Federation, HathiTrust, and ITHAKA Harbors.
