Biography
Andrew J. Gerber, MD, PhD, is a psychiatrist and neuroscientist who served as medical director and CEO of the Austen Riggs Center from 2015 before becoming President and Medical Director of Silver Hill Hospital. His research focuses on developmental psychopathology, attachment, and functional neuroimaging of dynamic processes including social cognition and transference. He completed medical and psychiatric training at Harvard Medical School, Weill Cornell, and Columbia, and earned his PhD at the Anna Freud Centre and University College London.
