Biography

Andrea R. Jain is a Professor of Religious Studies at Indiana University Indianapolis and editor of the Journal of the American Academy of Religion. A leading scholar of South Asian religions and yoga studies, she is the author of Selling Yoga: From Counterculture to Pop Culture (2014) and Peace Love Yoga: The Politics of Global Spirituality (2020). Her research examines the intersections of capitalism, religion, gender, and spirituality in the contemporary world.
